Alabama vs. Texas A&M, 3-8-2018 - Prediction & Preview
The Texas A&M Aggies and Alabama Crimson Tide will begin SEC Tournament quarterfinal action at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo. on Thursday afternoon.
The 9th seeded Alabama Crimson Tide will go against the 8th seed Texas A&M Aggies in second round SEC tournament action at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on Thursday, 1 pm EST.  In their last meeting, the Aggies came away with the 68-66 home win over the Tide.  Tyler Davis scored 20 for the Aggies in the winning effort while Admon Gilder had 14 points.  The Texas A&M Aggies shot only 39% for the night and a mere 19% from 3-point range (4 of 21).  The Tide got 23 points from Collin Sexton in this game while Donta Hall chipped in 12 points in the loss.  The Tide shot 37.5% from the field and 20.8% from 3-point range (5 of 24).  The winner of this game plays the top-ranked Auburn Tigers. The Alabama Crimson Tide ended their season losers of their last 5 games.  They really seemed to lose their way in the last few weeks of the season, despite resume-building wins over Auburn and Florida.  Getting back on track will not be easy, however, the Tide has fared very well against the Aggies in the past.  For the year, the Alabama Crimson Tide is 15-14-1 ATS and 10-20 O/U. The Texas A&M Aggies ended the season winning 3 straight.  These wins were on the road against Vandy and Florida along with a home win versus the Tide.  The Aggies were chomping at the bit all season, yet, were not able to crack the top echelon of teams competing for the SEC regular season championship.  Now, they must go through the SEC gauntlet in which to prove that they are tournament worthy, and that will not be easy.  For the season, the Aggies are 13-15 ATS and 14-14 O/U.
