The Lakers play a very big lineup, even when they do not have a traditional center on the floor. More importantly, Conley is the one small Minnesota player for Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves to relentlessly attack on the defensive end. Minnesota is also back at full strength, with Donte DiVincenzo, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, etc. all available, which gives Minnesota better options to combat the Lakers' size and attack of their big 3. In the one game these two teams played since the Luka trade, Conley played just 25 minutes and took 5 shots, and that was with Gobert and Randle out and DiVincenzo in his first game back from a lengthy injury absence.
