Celtics vs. Heat Game 7 Odds, Prediction, and Best Bet
ScoresAndOdds NBA betting expert Derek Farnsworth breaks down his Game 7 prediction for the Heat vs. Celtics. Make sure to use our BetMGM promo for a $1000 free bet!
The hot streak continued on Friday night, as the Heat were able to cover the spread in Boston. I shouldn’t sell them short, they were able to win the game outright and force a Game 7. There is nothing better than the idea of a Game 7 in sports, so everyone that isn’t rooting for the Heat or Celtics should be hoping for a competitive game (we haven’t had many in this series).
The winner will square off against the Warriors in the NBA Finals. Game 1 is set for June 2nd, so we will have three straight days without any basketball.

Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat Game 7 Prediction
This series has been full of twists and turns. Both teams have been hampered by injuries and both teams have looked unbeatable in different games. We can generally throw out statistics when it comes to a Game 7, but we might as well recap them from the first six games. The Celtics had a rebounding edge in the first five games, but that was essentially wiped away in Game 6. Boston has shot the ball much better than Miami, while the Heat have taken much better care of the ball than the Celtics.
I know we shouldn’t put too much emphasis on a single game, but when I look at the box score from Game 6, Butler’s stat line sticks out like a sore thumb – 47 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and four steals. I’m not saying he can’t replicate that performance, but the odds of that happening are low. Kyle Lowry also had his best game of the series and the Heat barely held on to win that game. The positives are that they have the best closer on the floor and that their supporting cast should play better at home.
For the Celtics, they need more production from Al Horford and Marcus Smart if they want to pull off the Game 7 win on the road. The two combined for 5-for-23 from the field in Game 6. Both are veterans that tend to play well under pressure, so I would expect them to play better on Sunday. I hate betting on road favorites (especially in a Game 7), but the Celtics were my pick to win the series and there is no point in hedging. We are going to ride or die with Boston in this one.
