Odds & Ends (2/16/22): 5-Unit Tuesday For ScoresAndOdds NCAAB Team
March Madness is right around the corner and our NCAAB betting team is ready to follow up another profitable night of expert picks.
It’s awesome, baby!
But not so much for Duke backers on Tuesday. While Duke barely escaped with a win, thankfully, our ScoresAndOdds college hoops squad was all over underdog Wake Forest (+9.5) and the points on Tuesday.
Wake Forest (+9.5) Highlights Night Of Expert Picks
The gutsy showing from Wake helped our NCAAB team net +5.35 units at a 45% ROI for the night.
Erik Beimfohr (ebeimfohr) and Alex Hardin (feartheturtle) both posted the Demon Deacons (and the points) as one of their expert picks Tuesday.
“They’re extremely experienced, and the steps both Alondes Williams and Jake LaRavia have taken this year give them an extremely dangerous duo both inside and out,” Beimfohr said in yesterday’s premium analysis.
In fact, Hardin had Wake Forest moneyline (+385), which was a real adrenaline rush at the end, as the Deacons launched a moonshot from 70 feet, for the win, which bounced out of the cylinder.
“LaRavia got into huge foul trouble against Miami, playing only 22 minutes, and I think they bring home the W if not for that. This is the biggest game the Deacons have the rest of the way to solidify their tournament resume, and as good as Duke is, they are prone to some inconsistency given their youth.”
Beimfohr also covered Clemson +2, in a nail-biting 81-80 loss against ACC rival Florida State, for a 2-unit win during his 2-0 Tuesday.
Jon Schiller (Varncass) went 4-1, hitting one moneyline and three against the spread bets.
Schiller’s +145 Butler win (73-71 over DePaul) helped net him 3.45 units yesterday.
“Since Bo Hodges got healthy and this rotation was secured, Butler has not lost by more than 3, and have beaten Marquette and Creighton,” Varncass said in his NCAAB premium analysis.
“DePaul is potentially without both Javon Freeman-Liberty and Javan Johnson here – Butler should honestly be the favorite in this game based on how they have been playing.”
Erik and Jon were both up early Wednesday, keeping the momentum strong, posting a handful of expert college basketball picks before lunch.
Beimfohr hopped on one heavy favorite early this morning, noting that the “market has no idea what to do” with them.
Varncass switched gears to target some NCAAB game totals on Wednesday, and I loved part of his analysis.
“There’s almost nothing good about them and they have one of the worst offenses in the nation,” Jon said regarding one of his “under” picks in his premium blurb.
Early Bird Special
If you’re looking for early action, our guy Andy Means (meansy53) is usually up before the roosters to share his premium picks. Meansy hit both of his NBA player prop bets from Tuesday morning.
He followed up on Wednesday with three early NBA picks.
“We have basically reached the point where we just blindly play the over here,” Meansy said regarding one of his Wednesday picks.
Quick Expert Betting Tip
Q: If you’re new to prop betting, what’s important to know?
Nick Galaida: “Opportunity is king. For example, instead of analyzing a player’s recent actual rebound numbers – it is likely more beneficial to analyze his recent rebound chances.
“Similarly, it is more important to pay attention to potential assists than actual assists. If considering a wager on a players’ point total, make sure to look at his shot volume. If a player has consistently high volume, he is likely to have a better opportunity to cash a wager, compared to a player who has low volume opportunity.”
That’s all for today! Thanks for checking in and good luck!
