ScoresAndOdds Picks Review (2/10/22): Experts Cash Big On Thursday
Thursday was a monster night for the ScoresAndOdds betting experts.
Overall, our team went 15-4-1, while gaining 7.97 units at a 34.7% return on investment.
Spearheading the green evening, was Grant Neiffer (gneiffer07), who tallied a 6-1 record in NBA betting picks for +4.85 units.
SAO Expert Picks Review
Grant specializes in NBA player props, and one of his favorites on Thursday was the Grizzlies’ Steven Adams to record over 2.5 assists.
“This has been one of my favorite bets recently, as Adams hit it in 6 of his last 7 games,” Neiffer wrote in his blurb for ScoresAndOdds.
Grant jumped on the line early in the afternoon to get generous odds. The ticket was cashed before the first quarter ended.
“The juice should really be somewhere around -160 making this a huge positive ROI bet here. Adams has been distributing the ball a lot recently and this trend should continue.”
Neiffer, who now hosts a daily show on RotoGrinders called “Live Locks Sports Betting” (presented by ScoresAndOdds), took 3rd place in the second annual DraftKings Sports Betting National Championship in 2021. Grant ran his initial $5K bankroll up to over $109K, winning another $125K for his finishing position.
Grant targeted a few Suns against the big-less Brooklyn team. He was also invested in the same game for Kyrie Irving’s points over and Kyle Kuzma’s rebounds.
If you’ve followed Grant (or me) on SAO this season, at least one of us have typically bet the over on Desmond Bane’s points whenever it’s around 17.5. Good to see the “Bane Train” back on track.
“Bane is a 45.9% shooter this season, including 41.8% from behind the arc — and he has shot under 25% from the field in each of the last 3 games,” Grant noted in Thursday’s SAO experts pick section.
“That will not, and cannot continue, especially in a solid matchup vs the Pistons. If you ignore the last 3 games, this is the best bet on the board.”
Experts Stay Hot With NBA & NHL Bets
Andy Means (meansy53) had a perfect 2-0 night on the NBA grind.
Meansy’s card contained Chris Paul over 16.5 points in the late-night, nationally televised Bucks vs. Suns game, and new Pelican C.J. McCollum’s under 19.5 number.
“CP3 has hit the over on this number in 9 of his last 11 games. One of the misses was on Tuesday, but I found it noteworthy that his usage in that game was the second highest of this recent 11-game stretch. He just didn’t shoot that well, going 7 for 18 from the field,” Andy added in his expert blurb.
“Assuming Milwaukee plays a lot of drop coverage tonight in the pick-and-roll, CP3 should have plenty of clean looks at the basket in the midrange. In last year’s NBA Finals against this Bucks team, he hit the over on this number in five of the six games.”
Nick Galaida (NickGalaida) went 2-0 in NBA player props, also scooping McCollum’s points under, while also playing Miami’s Bam Adebayo over 17.5 points.
Nick noted that Adebayo hit this number in 16-of-30 games this season, including 8-of-13 since Nov. 29.
“In Adebayo’s last four contests, he has attempted 17 shots, 13 shots, 21 shots, and 11 shots. He is also averaging 7.0 free throw attempts per game during this time period, which gives him the opportunity to earn some free points at the line, even if he does not have the most efficient night shooting from the floor. On the year, the New Orleans Pelicans rank worse than league average in opponent free throw attempts per game.”
On the ice, our experts Timothy Buell (TastefulTides) and Brett Flood (Snamuh) combined for a perfect 2-0.
Brett is 8-2, +4.6u in NHL bets last 30 days.
