Odds & Ends (2/14/22): MMA Sweep, Huge PGA Outright Winner
The Super Bowl had everyone’s attention on Sunday, but ScoresAndOdds experts helped put cash in subscribers’ virtual wallets with a massive betting weekend before it even started.
The ScoresAndOdds team went 31-21, +11.u over the weekend, with two experts absolutely crushing MMA and PGA.
LiamPicksFights (Liam Heslin) went on a tear during UFC 271, posting a perfect 4-0 record and gaining 7.34 units.
Liam nailed Kyler Phillips winning via sub at fantastic MMA odds. He also risked over 4 units on the Jared Cannonier moneyline (-155), which paid off handsomely.
“Cannonier is a former heavyweight, and his stats have been negatively impacted by prior bouts at heavyweight and light-heavyweight,” Liam said in his ScoresAndOdds Premium pick blurb.
“He has shown formidable takedown defense against the likes of Jack Hermansson, Kelvin Gastelum, Robert Whittaker, and David Branch (BJJ black belt) in the middleweight division. I expect him to find the KO at some point, but the line is slight plus money.
I prefer to cover his sprawl and brawl decision win equity, but I anticipate that Jared will find the KO in the first two rounds.”
For the record, Liam called the KO in his analysis, too, as Cannonier finished Derek Brunson in the second round.
Farnsworth calls Scottie Scheffler for monster outright winner
If Saturday wasn’t fun enough, how about a PGA sweat on Sunday leading up to the Super Bowl?
ScoresAndOdds expert Derek Farnsworth (Notorious), who posts golf betting picks weekly, gave four outrights to subscribers last Wednesday before the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
One of them was Scottie Scheffler, who won in a playoff, and cashed this big ticket at 24-1.
“For whatever reason, I have always had this event pegged as one Scheffler would win at some point in his career,” Notorious said in his ScoresAndOdds premium analysis.
“This is a driver-heavy course and he’s one of the best in the world off the tee. The course features Bermuda greens, which is easily his best putting surface. More importantly, he seems to vibe with the party atmosphere in Scottsdale. The incoming form is solid enough and he finished T7 here last year.”
If you tailed Liam and Notorious this weekend, your Valentine’s Day dinner plans may have upgraded from Applebee’s to A1 Steakhouse (I actually really like Applebee’s though).
Hoops and more…
Our ScoresAndOdds NBA team went 16-7 for 5.56 units over the weekend.
The experts don’t sleep in or take off, as the squad posted 52 picks with many winners.
Grant Neiffer (eys819) went 4-1 for 3 units, while Keith Eyster (eys819) was a perfect 2-0.
As for Super Bowl bets, yours truly hit a +275 Cinci “over 0.5” first-quarter field goals prop, which was right one cue, as the Rams (16th) and Bengals (23rd) ranked bottom-half of the league in red zone touchdown scoring this season.
What’s on tap?
Football season is officially over, but there is a full slate of NBA games on Monday night.

There could be a ton of scoring Monday, as four games have game totals of at least 230 points on the NBA odds board.
Our guy Andy Means (meansy53) was up early, as usual, to dish out a few winners.
Living in a simulation
Without football in our lives, and with the beginning of the MLB season in jeopardy, hoops will be a big focal point of the betting market in the near term.
In addition to our NBA experts crushing it, be sure to take a look at our Props Model picks, which has been nothing short of elite in NBA calls this season.
Since the calendar flipped to 2022, the model is 75-46-1, +24.77 units in NBA action. Just another perk of becoming a premium member.
Enjoy your Monday and good luck!
