Free Expert Best Bets For Friday
Jordan Poole Over 3.5 3 Pointers
- Current Odds: +102 on FanDuel
The absence of Stephen Curry will delegate more shots Jordan’s way, but what is most appealing here is the matchup. No team attempts and makes more three-pointers per game than the Golden State Warriors. No team allows more attempted and made three-pointers per game than the Houston Rockets. Add it all up, and I’m RSVP’ing for a Friday Night Poole Party. – Dean Shavelson (dean78904)
Jabari Smith Over 14.5 Points
- Current Odds: -120 on PointsBet
Smith should continue to benefit from the departure of Eric Gordon, in addition to Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. already being ruled out for Friday’s game. Smith averages 12 points per game this season in 29.9 minutes per game. But using the RotoGrinders CourtIQ tool, he gets a 3.7% usage bump and averages a shade over four more real points per 36 minutes without those three players on the court.
Being a 10-point underdog is a concern, but with Golden State on a back-to-back, I suppose it’s possible Klay or Draymond rest tonight. Regardless, it should be a fast-paced game environment, which means more possessions to accrue points. – Justin Carlucci (TheLuuch)
Anthony Edwards Over 29.5 Points
- Current Odds: -102 on FanDuel
Edwards posted 30+ points in back-to-back games heading into the break. Towns remains out and D’Angelo Russell’s near 23% usage rate has been shipped out of town. Russell has been replaced by Mike Conley who owns a 12.9% usage in three games with Minnesota. Edwards has posted a 35% usage rate in over 700 minutes with Towns and Russell off the court this season. We also get an excellent game environment with two teams both ranked top five in pace, while Charlotte ranks just 24th in defensive rating. – Keith Eyser (eys819)
Trae Young Over 37.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists
- Current Odds: -120 on DraftKings
I got this line at over 40+ at +120, but I like it just as much on DraftKings at 37.5 (-120). Trae was on a tear prior to the All-Star break, putting up 12.6 assists per game and 23 points per game in the month of February. And that number was much higher in the last five games. While this is a tough matchup against the Cavs, this number is still too low here. – Grant Neiffer (gneiffer07)
