Now that the NFL season has unfortunately come to an end, we will be focusing on NHL odds and bets for the foreseeable future. We will also be throwing in some traditional parlays and some same game parlays as we see fit.

Make sure to use our tools at ScoresAndOdds to find the best lines at your favorite legal sportsbook.

Due to the NBA All-Star Break, we only have a five-game NHL slate to choose from. Let’s get started!

Free NHL Betting Picks for Today

Colorado Avalanche @ Boston Bruins

The Avalanche are one of the best teams in the NHL, if not the best.

They are stacked with offensive talent and have tremendous depth up and down their lineup. However, going into Boston won’t be an easy task.

The Bruins allow the 6th-fewest shots on goal and give up the 7th fewest goals in all of hockey.  Even without Marchand, this team is very stout defensively, and should be able to slow down the game enough to not bleed goals to the Av’s.

The Bruins don’t have the depth offensively to make me shy away from this under play.  They haven’t scored more than 3 goals in 12 games, and without Marchand, they are missing their 3rd-best offensive player.

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Montreal Canadiens

The Maple Leafs could go over this total by themselves.

We shouldn’t see them let off the gas, in any capacity, if they get out to an early lead.

They will want to bury the Habs, especially in Montreal.  Now, most likely, we will need some production from Montreal in order for this over to hit.

The Maple Leafs have been very good at keeping the puck out of their own net, but most of that has been with Jack Campbell patrolling the crease.

Today the Leafs are sending Petr Mrazek to tend the twine, and he is prone to giving up some really soft goals.

The Habs have enough offensive talent to force Mrazek to be uncomfortable despite the easy on-paper matchup.
