Now that the NFL season has unfortunately come to an end, we will be focusing on NHL odds and NBA odds and props. We will also be throwing in some traditional parlays and some same game parlays as we see fit.

Make sure to use our tools at ScoresAndOdds to find the best lines at your favorite legal sportsbook.

Due to the massive 13-game NHL slate, and only a 2-game NBA slate, we will only be focusing on NHL odds and props for today’s article

Free NHL Betting Picks for Today

Chicago Blackhawks @ Boston Bruins

I certainly wouldn’t fault anyone for taking the safe route with the Bruins’ moneyline, around -275, but I think there is better value in laying the -1.5 at -110.

I don’t think the Blackhawks can score enough to keep this close.  Jeremy Swayman has won six-straight starts and the Bruins have covered the puck line in four of those victories.

The Bergeron line should be able to shut down anything that the Blackhawks can throw at them.

The Blackhawks also really struggle keeping the puck out of their own net. They are 7th-worst in the league in goals allowed per game and now have to play on the road against one of the best top-6’s in hockey.

New York Rangers @ St. Louis Blues

I am hoping that we get Ville Husso in net and not Jordan Binnington for the Blues this evening. Make sure to monitor that situation when considering the under in this game.

Both Shesterkin and Husso are elite goaltenders and we should see them both for years to come. As a fan of great goaltending, I’ll be watching this game.

If you are a fan of great offensive 5v5 play, then this is not the game for you.

The Blues can put goals on the board, but Shesterkin in my opinion, is the best goalie in all of hockey. I don’t think he will see the volume from the Blues to put too much pressure on him.

The Rangers are really not a good 5v5 team, and like the Blues ,will lack the shot volume to put pressure on Husso.

Free NHL Player Prop: Jack Eichel

Let’s put the revenge narrative aside for a moment and just realize that in the 10 games that Eichel has played since returning from his long-term injury, he has gone over this total seven times.

At a little bit better than even money I plan on wagering 3 units on this play.

He is not shy about shooting the puck against the dreadful Sabres team he should get plenty of time in his offensive zone.

Now, let’s talk about narrative street for just a moment.

Things did not end on a great note with his former organization and I expect him to be hyper focused and will want to put on a offensive show against his former team.

Again, I know I can’t back that up with data, but sometimes, you have to play the narrative card and go with your gut instincts.

Free NHL Player Prop: Trevor Zegras

Due to the Ryan Getzlaf injury, Trevor Zegras has been getting top-line work and has not disappointed.

He has five shots in his last two games, and despite the fact the Predators don’t allow a lot of shots on net, I think he can make it up with the opportunities he should receive on the power play.

The Predators take the most penalties in hockey by a pretty sizable margin.

Zegras has shared with Drysdale the point position on the power play and will get plenty of chances to get over this total whether it be at even strength or on the power play.  The odds are too solid to pass up this play.
