Free NBA Betting Picks For Today
Atlanta Hawks @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Atlanta has struggled on the road this year throughout this season especially against teams that are playing in the postseason. Jarrett Allen is currently questionable and says that he is 50/50 to play in this game. My lean is that he plays in this game. The Cavs need him out there as a rim protector more than anything and their team defense is so much better with him on the court.
The Cavaliers had one of the best defensive ratings in the whole league before he went down with an injury. Even if Allen doesn’t suit up for this game I think the overall struggles of the Hawks on the road will be enough for the Cavs to cover this spread. Currently 64% percent of bets are going on the Hawks but 57% of the money is on the Cavs. I am not going to chase the public sentiment with this game, my money is on the Cavs +2.
- PICK: Cleveland Cavaliers +2 (-110), Caesars
Free NBA Player Prop For Today –– Jonas Valanciunas
With both Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum healthy I don’t think there will be enough field goal attempts for Big Val to hit the twenty point mark in this game. Val averages 17.8 PPG on the season and those are very skewed because they started the season without CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram has battled a slew of injuries. I don’t think this offense can really sustain three players. Now that they are both healthy Val becomes the third option and I think this line should be 16.5.
There is also a good chance the Clippers elect to go small and try to run him right off the court. Unfortunately we didn’t learn much from the Clippers in their first play in game against the Timberwolves since KAT was in foul throughout the whole game but I still think this bet has good value.
- PICK: Jonas Valanciunas under 19.5 Points (-110), DraftKings

Tampa Bay Rays @ Chicago White Sox
Dylan Cease gets the nod today in a home matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. I consider Cease to be one of the best pitchers in the American League. He threw 79 pitches in his opening start so I think I will project him for around 90 pitches today. If Cease can limit the walks then he shouldn’t have a problem limiting the damage against the Rays.
The White Sox on the offensive side are a little banged up, A.J. Pollock hit the IL and Jimenez and Harrison are day-to-day. Drew Rasmussen is certainly not an elite pitcher but he is serviceable and with the White Sox not at 100% he gets a little bit of a boost. The weather is one of the biggest reasons why I like this under, temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40’s at the start of the game with a light drizzle to go along with the cold temps. This is as bad as it gets for hitting conditions.
- PICK: Game Total Under 8 (-105), DraftKings
St. Louis Cardinals @ Milwaukee Brewers
I bet this same under yesterday and won pretty easily, I see a lot of similarities and the run total is up to 8.5 for today’s game. I really like to attack the Cardinals with solid right handed pitching, it really neutralizes their best asset, which is right handed power. Despite his rough start against the Cubs on opening day I think he bounces back today.
He got up to 88 pitches in that game despite the poor outing so he appears to be fully stretched out. Miles Mikolas also struggled in his first outing against the Pirates which I know doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence but we can’t get too carried away over one performance. He is a good real life pitcher despite not getting a lot of strikeouts. The Brewers offense is overrated and in my opinion is chalk full of players who are in steep decline. Mikolas will pitch to contact and I am not a believer in Milwaukee to carry this game over the 8.5 total.
- PICK: Game Total Under 8.5 (-110), DraftKings
